[One Day Walk] From Cheongnyeon Media Tower to Obong Neighborhood Park, the 'Hope Connection Path'

Incheon Namdong-gu proudly introduces the ‘Namdong Dullegil’ in four installments. Namdong Dullegil is a walking tour course of about 33.5 km that connects six mountains including Mansusan, parks, streams, and an accessible sharing path into one.

The approximately 6.5 km ‘Hope Connection Trail’ starts at the Youth Media Tower, which offers a panoramic view of the entire Namdong-gu area.

The Youth Media Tower, remodeled and reopened from the old Namdong Tower, is a youth project support initiative designed to create a participatory and communicative media environment, lending facilities and equipment to promote the production of original content.

The vast scenery viewed from a height of 122 meters is impressive. On clear days, you can even see Namsan Tower. After leaving the tower and passing the Nonhyeon 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center, the course continues from Dumbaesan to Obongsan.

Obongsan is named for its five peaks. The trail begins at Dumbaesan, which serves as the entrance to Obongsan from the ‘Hogupo’ side. The route was selected to focus on natural ‘dirt paths’ by minimizing artificial structures, allowing visitors to fully enjoy nature within the city. Walking along the path closest to nature makes you momentarily forget that you are in the middle of the city.

As you breathe in the forest air and cross each peak, you will soon have passed all five peaks. Obong Neighborhood Park, located at the end of the course, was reborn in 2021 as a space where people of all ages can rest through improvements to aging facilities.

Chairs and other seating were installed around the water play area to increase resting spaces, and trees and azaleas were planted to enhance the surrounding scenery. The district plans to support citizens’ relaxation along the Namdong Dullegil by creating picnic areas and circular walking paths, renovating children’s playgrounds, and installing sports facilities.
