Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, conveyed in a congratulatory message, "I wish for the development of Coding Academy CODE HOWS and hope this event will serve as an opportunity to revitalize the local economy through the training of coding specialists."

On the day, Min-young Jung, CEO of iWorks, said, "In the Gyeongnam area, where it is difficult to receive quality education compared to the metropolitan area, providing interesting and high-level educational services will open a new path for IT specialist training education in the Gyeongnam region and become a driving force for further advancement," adding, "Let's take the lead in training software personnel in Ulsan and Gyeongnam."

Jae-seon Lee, Head of the Smart Manufacturing Engineering Project Group at the Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Innovation Platform, stated, "Let's nurture excellent SW talents with convergent thinking and collaboration skills specialized in fields matching our regional industrial demands and foster local industries through employment in local companies."

Yoo-jin Hwang, Industry-Academia Cooperation Professor at Changwon University, said, "Through CODE HOWS, there will be more opportunities for young people in the Ulsan-Gyeongnam region to participate in excellent software education," and added, "We will play a leading role in driving Gyeongnam's digital transformation (DX) to nurture outstanding talents who stay and meet the needs of local companies."

President Lee said, "The SW education program linking universities, companies, and local governments carries the responsibility of nurturing IT experts and, furthermore, the future of the next generation," and added, "We will spare no support to ensure the successful establishment and maximize the achievements of Coding Academy CODE HOWS."

According to Changwon University, Coding Academy CODE HOWS provides software education annually to about 100 local youths to solve the shortage of software (SW) personnel in local companies.

It plans to actively use its own learning management system portal to encourage learning and manage and operate post-employment support so that graduates can succeed in finding jobs.

The curriculum aims to cultivate creative thinking and problem-solving skills to nurture advanced SW talents required by local companies and supply them to local businesses.

CODE HOWS trainees undergo an 11-month immersive coding curriculum applying step-by-step learning methods, practical coding courses through company-linked cell projects, and self-directed learning processes.

A university official emphasized, "Even non-majors will have the opportunity to enhance their software capabilities in 11 months," and added, "Through CODE HOWS, we will prevent young talents from flowing out to the metropolitan area and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
