Incheon Namdong-gu proudly introduces the ‘Namdong Dullegil’ in four installments. Namdong Dullegil is a walking tour course of about 33.5 km that connects six mountains including Mansusan, parks, rivers, and barrier-free sharing paths into one. Each course features Namdong-gu’s tourist attractions, from the Jangsu-dong Ginkgo Tree, Natural Monument No. 562, to Sorae Wetland Ecological Park, Sorae Port, Shrimp Tower, Neulsolgil Sheep Ranch, and Youth Media Tower.
The 9 km-long Incheon Namdong Dullegil Course 1 starts from the Jangsu-dong Ginkgo Tree, Natural Monument No. 562.
The Jangsu-dong Ginkgo Tree, over 800 years old, stands 28.2 m tall with a circumference of 9.1 m, with five branches spreading out in a beautiful tree shape. The ginkgo tree, which changes its attire with each season, evokes a sense of awe just by looking at it.
Following the path leads to Incheon Arboretum, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery throughout the four seasons. Incheon Arboretum, a representative attraction of Incheon Grand Park, is considered a must-visit tourist course for families and couples every year with its dazzling display of seasonal flowers such as cherry blossoms and roses.
It collects, exhibits, preserves, and researches major plant species from Incheon’s islands, coasts, and land, and provides various information for urban greening and natural experience education to improve quality of life. Passing through Suhyeon Village from Incheon Arboretum, you reach the Mansusan Barrier-Free Sharing Path, where anyone can easily and safely enjoy hiking.
The Mansusan Barrier-Free Sharing Path is a stair-free hiking trail designed so that people with mobility difficulties such as the disabled, elderly, pregnant women, and infants can easily and safely climb to the summit. The entire section is constructed with a gentle slope of less than 8.3%, and the trail width is designed to be 2 meters wide to allow wheelchair users to pass each other. Additionally, the trail features obtuse angles at various points to facilitate easy direction changes.
At the summit, a plaza and a barrier-free observatory without obstacles have been created, allowing people with mobility difficulties to enjoy an open space with views of the sunrise and sunset as well as a panoramic view of the entire Namdong-gu.
The course ends at Manbu Village, which is undergoing transformation through the urban regeneration New Deal project. Manbu Village, a representative old town in Namdong-gu, retains its old appearance while gaining vitality through urban regeneration.
