[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Soldiers and civilian employees belonging to the Navy Education Command participated in the 1st quarter Love Blood Donation Campaign, jointly held by the Navy Education Command and the Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Blood Center, for two days from the 23rd to the 24th.
The Education Command conducts the Love Blood Donation Campaign every quarter targeting soldiers and civilian employees, and through their active participation, 793 people donated blood in 2022, collecting approximately 240,000㎖ of blood.

The amount of blood donated by the Education Command soldiers accounts for about 10% of the group blood donations in Gyeongsangnam-do, showing the highest volume among organizations conducting blood donations within Gyeongsangnam-do.
Lee Byung-chan, director of the Gyeongnam Blood Center, said, “Despite the difficult period due to students’ vacations, the Navy soldiers actively cooperated, allowing us to overcome the blood supply crisis well,” and added, “We thank the Navy officials who helped and especially all the donors who shared their precious lives.”
Private Park Jun-yeon, who participated in the blood donation, said, “As a soldier wearing a military uniform, I felt proud after donating blood,” and added, “I will continue to actively participate in the Love Blood Donation Campaign conducted by the Education Command and become a Navy that shares love.”
