[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Oh Taeyang, leader of the Miraedang Party, who is accused of taking a woman who was drunk and collapsed on the street to a motel, has been sent to the prosecution.
On the 22nd, the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul announced that on the 10th, they sent Oh to the prosecution on charges including sexual assault, abduction, and quasi-rape.
Oh is accused of dragging a woman who was drunk and collapsed on the street to a nearby motel and sexually assaulting her in May of last year. He is also accused of taking the victim's wallet during this process and not returning it. Oh is known to have stated during the police investigation that he was helping the intoxicated victim.
