'Fire Alarm Informer' Plays a Vital Role
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The National Fire Agency announced on the 22nd that it held the '2023 National Fire Agency 119 Policy Reporters Appointment Ceremony' at the Government Sejong Convention Center.
This year's selected 'National Fire Agency 119 Policy Reporters' consist of 15 members from various professions such as housewives, office workers, and students. They will cover fire policies and disaster accident sites from the public's perspective, write articles for the National Fire Agency's SNS, and produce and distribute card news, videos, and webtoons.
In particular, among this year's reporters, there are drone filming experts and video editing specialists, so it is expected that more vivid and lively content promotion activities will be carried out.
The National Fire Agency will pay up to 200,000 KRW per month as manuscript fees to the reporters and select three outstanding reporters each month and three annually to award certificates and prize money from the Commissioner of the National Fire Agency.
Reporter Daejung Kim, who is participating in the 119 Policy Reporters activities again this year following last year, said, "There is a lot to promote to the public, such as advanced fire policies and safety knowledge in daily life," adding, "I will actively fulfill the role of a 'Fire Informer' by working on the ground and experiencing it firsthand."
Seungryong Kim, spokesperson for the National Fire Agency, said, "We expect the 119 Policy Reporters to serve as a catalyst that raises awareness of the importance of safety closely related to daily life through communication with the public," and added, "We ask for active promotion and participation in fire policies based on various experiences and know-how in the future."
