Crown Confectionery announced on the 22nd that it will launch the ‘Kicker K League Edition’ featuring the faces of Korea’s representative soccer players.
The Kicker K League Edition is a limited edition with only 1.2 million units released starting this month when the K League opens. It will be available at convenience stores and supermarkets nationwide. Crown Confectionery included four representative K League players on the packaging, hoping that the stadiums, which had been sparse due to COVID-19, will become lively again. These are the faces of the heroes of the Qatar World Cup Round of 16 legend and the original World Cup heroes.
Crown Confectionery and the Korea Professional Football League signed a sponsorship contract in 2020, selecting Kicker as the official chocolate bar of the K League. For the past three years, they have supported domestic professional soccer and young soccer talents, and plan to continue sponsorship this year. Crown Confectionery is the only confectionery company sponsoring the K League. Kicker is a snack loved by young people who enjoy energy-intensive sports like soccer, selling over 10 million units annually and leading the domestic chocolate bar market.
A Crown Confectionery official said, "We are preparing youth programs and Children’s Day promotions with Kicker for children who love both snacks and soccer," adding, "We will continue to develop Kicker as a representative sports brand through various events."
