Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 22nd that its employees voluntarily participated in the "Love Sharing Blood Donation Campaign" held at the headquarters in Yangpyeong-dong, Seoul.
This campaign was planned to address the shortage of blood supply due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic causing a decline in blood donation participation, and to help patients struggling with pediatric cancer. When applications were accepted from employees, over 100 applicants rushed in within an hour for the 60-person quota. Participants wrote support messages for pediatric cancer patients and donated their blood donation certificates. These will be delivered to children suffering from pediatric cancer through the Korea Leukemia Pediatric Cancer Association.
Lotte Homeshopping is also conducting an internal fundraising campaign to support surgery costs for pediatric cancer patients. In addition, the company plans to expand sharing activities for pediatric cancer patients, including donating goods, making wigs, and face-to-face volunteer activities by employees.
A Lotte Homeshopping official said, "We launched the blood donation campaign to help pediatric cancer patients who are struggling due to the shortage of blood supply," adding, "We will fulfill our social responsibility by carrying out customized sharing activities that provide practical help for the healthy growth of children who will lead the future."
