'KCON' is a festival that combines a K-POP show with a convention where attendees can directly experience Korean-style lifestyle. It began in 2012 and has showcased a variety of content. By September 2019, offline 'KCON' events had attracted over 1.1 million offline attendees worldwide from Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America. During the COVID-19 pandemic, 'KCON:TACT' was held online five times. Last year, it connected audiences both online and offline in Korea, the USA, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and globally.

'KCON 2023 Thailand' plans to offer various programs tailored to the global Gen Z and the characteristics of the Thai region. Performers include ATEEZ, BamBam, (G)I-DLE, iKON, INI, ITZY, JO1, Kep1er, KQ Fellaz 2, Mbitious, P1Harmony, TEMPEST, TNX, TO1, GOT7's Youngjae, and 8TURN.

Kim Hyun-soo, Head of the Convention Live Business Division at CJ ENM, said, "Starting with 10,000 attendees in 2012, 'KCON' has grown into the world's largest K-culture festival. This year, it will meet global Gen Z audiences beginning in Thailand, then Japan, and the USA. As a platform that has continuously evolved, we will continue to actively promote K-POP and K-culture this year as well."
