Jangheung-gun Selected as an 'Excellent Institution' in Local Government Innovation Evaluation

Ministry of the Interior and Safety-led '2022 Local Government Innovation Evaluation'

According to the county on the 21st, this innovation evaluation was announced on the 16th after being reviewed by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety Innovation Evaluation Team and the task主管 department based on the 2022 performance.

The evaluation, targeting 243 local governments, consisted of three categories: autonomous innovation, innovation performance, innovation diffusion and public perception, with 12 detailed indicators.

Jangheung-gun was highly evaluated for achieving work innovation through institutional autonomous innovation implemented since the 8th elected term, resident-tailored policies, and improvement of work methods based on participation and cooperation.

In particular, it received favorable reviews for △ drafting a roadmap for public contest projects △ creating a work roadmap for the county governor’s directives △ systematizing media publicity to pursue work innovation. In addition, the innovation leadership of the head of the institution promoted since the 8th elected term, organizational culture innovation, and data-driven local administration innovation were found to be excellent.

Jangheung-gun, selected as an excellent institution in the innovation evaluation, will receive a commendation from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and special grant funds.

County Governor Kim Seong said, “I am pleased that the innovation evaluation, which usually remained at an average grade, has risen to an excellent grade,” and added, “We will strive harder to discover innovations that residents can feel in their daily lives.”
