Dialogue with Citizens Held in Masanhappo-gu on the 21st

Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, said this during a dialogue with citizens held at Hapogu Office on the 21st.

The dialogue with citizens, held at 10 a.m. in the large conference room of Masanhappo-gu Office, was attended by Mayor Hong, Kim Seonmin, head of Masanhappo-gu Office, and various department heads, all gathered for the citizens. About 400 citizens filled the venue, continuing the unrelenting enthusiasm for communication with the public. Additionally, the 'Voice of the Citizens' box prepared on site was bustling with citizens writing messages to Mayor Hong.
Before the dialogue, Mayor Hong used a PPT presentation to explain in detail to the citizens the 5 major strategies and over 30 tasks to realize the vision of the 8th elected administration, “Northeast Asia Central City Changwon,” regarding the direction of city administration.
He then explained the major current projects in Masanhappo-gu, including ▲ the commencement of the Masan Bay Grand Design planning ▲ the creation of Masan Marine New City ▲ attracting a Korean-style launch vehicle forging and assembly plant and core parts factory ▲ and the establishment of a park golf course.
He also explained a total of 28 projects targeting citizens, including major projects by neighborhood and region such as ▲ improvement and capacity building of fishing village facilities ▲ creation of Gapo Sports Park ▲ development of Wolyeong-dong Youth Street ▲ establishment of public parking lots at Masan Fish Market and Sanho-dong shopping district.
Mayor Hong said, “We will promptly handle parts of the citizens' suggestions that can be resolved immediately, and carefully review and address issues that require more time.”
He added, “Thank you for taking the time despite your busy schedules. We will thoroughly review and consider every single point you have raised today and respond with good results,” and said, “Since this year is the practical first year of the 8th elected administration, we will devote all our efforts to creating a foundation for innovative growth of Changwon Special City.”
