Promoting Substantial Pledge Projects Reflecting Citizens' Opinions

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] On the 21st, Miryang City in Gyeongnam held the 2nd Citizens' Pledge Advisory Evaluation Committee meeting to check the progress of the pledge projects promoted since the launch of the 8th term of the local government.

This meeting was organized to review the progress and status of 64 pledge projects in six areas promised to citizens at the start of the 8th term for the leap to become the "Yeongnam Region Hub City Miryang": ▲Vibrant Economic City ▲Sustainable Future Agriculture ▲Elegant Culture and Tourism ▲Safe City to Live ▲Inclusive Education and Welfare ▲Citizen-Centered Communication City.

Since confirming the pledge projects for citizen happiness and Miryang's development in September last year, the city has been concentrating administrative efforts to ensure the practical implementation of the projects and maximize their effects.

In particular, efforts have been focused on the advancement of the Nano Convergence National Industrial Complex, the Smart 6th Agriculture Capital, the revitalization of tourism industries including rural tourism and recreation complexes, expansion of infrastructure for regional growth, and the enhancement of education and welfare foundations. Among the total 64 projects, 61 are progressing as planned, currently recording a normal progress rate of 95.3%.

Through detailed reports on each pledge project and expert inquiries and reviews by committee members, this meeting facilitated in-depth discussions on the pledge projects, providing an opportunity to further enhance the completeness of Miryang City's 8th term pledge projects.
