Over 200 Leaders and Students from Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Daegu Participate

'Triple J' Signs MOU, Advances Educational Collaboration

The Department of Taekwondo at Dong-A University (Department Head Lee Yong-guk) held a ‘Dream Tree Camp’ for local youth and leaders involved in Taekwondo.


About 200 leaders and students from Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Daegu participated in the recent Dream Tree Camp held at Dong-A University Seunghak Campus.


The camp featured the full participation of the Dong-A University Taekwondo Department’s coaching staff, including Department Head Lee Yong-guk, Professor Lee Sang-ho, and coaches Park Tae-hyung (Poomsae), Lee Dong-joo (Sparring), Jeon Gwang-hyeok (Demonstration), as well as coaches Hwang In-ha (Sparring), Shin Yoo-jung (Sparring), Kim Hyun-deok (Poomsae), and Lee Hak-myeong (Demonstration).


The camp began with a Taekwondo demonstration team performance, followed by tailored Taekwondo training for elementary, middle, and high school levels. The coaching staff’s instruction and one-on-one mentoring by current students engaged participants’ interest and attention.


Kim Tae-wook, head of a Taekwondo gym who attended the camp, said, “Through the detailed guidance of the Dong-A University Taekwondo team, the growing dream trees had a valuable time to develop.”

The Dong-A University Taekwondo Department signed an MOU with ‘Triple J (CEO Jeon Jae-jun)’ to provide educational opportunities for students.


Triple J is an institution specializing in free-style poomsae, which combines Taekwondo techniques and artistry. It produced national representatives for the 2022 World and Asian Poomsae Championships and won first place in the 2022 Korea Open Free-style Poomsae Team event.
