[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) held its entrance ceremony both online and offline on the 20th.
Dong-A University held the ‘2023 Academic Year Online Entrance Ceremony and Freshmen Orientation’ at Dawoo Hall on the Bumin Campus and broadcast it live online.
President Lee Hae-woo welcomed the new students, saying, “At Dong-A University, which has fulfilled its mission as a leading private university in our region through continuous change and development for 77 years, I hope you firmly establish your life goals, continuously challenge yourselves, and freely pursue your dreams.”
President Lee added, “All faculty and staff, including myself, will do our best so that you can grow into talents who surpass the 250,000 alumni with pride.”
At the entrance ceremony, Dong-A University provided useful information to freshmen through videos introducing alumni welcome speeches, academic and scholarship systems, extracurricular programs, core competency diagnosis, and an untact campus tour.
They also introduced career development education programs such as ‘Career Development Roadmap by Year’ and ‘Core Career Design Tips for Freshmen,’ as well as study methods and learning support programs. Following this, Jang Han-byeol, CEO of Warm Speech and author of ‘I’m New to University Life,’ gave a lecture titled ‘Voyage of University Dreams.’
Lee Chang-hyun, director of the Vivaldi Research Institute and author of ‘Resonance in My Heart,’ continued with a special lecture titled ‘Vivaldi (Discover and Design Your Vision).’ The dance club ‘Garion’ and the ‘Dong-A University Cheerleading Squad’ also received enthusiastic responses from the freshmen with their congratulatory performances.
This year, about 4,400 freshmen enrolled at Dong-A University.
