Intermediate Total After 4th Hole: Tied at 1 Over Par
Kim Guk-jin faced off against the "beautiful golfer" Go Kyung-min in their first round match of the year. After the intermediate scores, both recorded 1-under par, resulting in a tight competition.
In the video uploaded on the 21st to ‘Kim Guk-jin TV,’ Kim Guk-jin and Go Kyung-min were seen competing in a round at Seosan Su CC in Seosan-si, Chungnam. Go Kyung-min is a well-known beautiful golfer who has appeared on JTBC Golf’s ‘Live Lesson 70’ and ‘Rediscovery of Golf.’
Kim Guk-jin, who had not been on the field all winter, showed his unrusted skills from the 1st hole (par 4). His tee shot flew in the right direction and landed on the right side of the fairway, and with his second shot, he placed the ball right next to the pin. He then succeeded in a clean birdie putt, reducing his score by one stroke. Meanwhile, Go Kyung-min’s third shot slightly curved to the left of the pin, narrowly missing the birdie.
At the 2nd hole (par 4), both struggled with a tricky lie. Go Kyung-min’s tee shot landed in the middle of the cart path, causing her to be flustered from the start. She managed to land the ball on the green with her second shot by hitting the top of the ball, but her third shot fell short unexpectedly without rolling down the slope, failing to hole out. She also missed the following par putt, resulting in a bogey. Kim Guk-jin also misjudged the slope of the ground and recorded a bogey.
At the 3rd hole (par 5), Kim Guk-jin made a mistake, giving Go Kyung-min a chance to take the lead. Kim’s third shot struck the ball at an angle, sending it far left of the pin. He then missed both the birdie and par putts, recording a bogey. In contrast, Go Kyung-min made par, tying the score with Kim.
At the 4th hole (par 3), Kim Guk-jin and Go Kyung-min both finished with pars.
After the 4th hole, both Kim Guk-jin and Go Kyung-min were tied at 1-over par. The video of the back nine competition will be uploaded to Kim Guk-jin TV on the 27th.
