Kakao VX Supports Discovery and Investment in Sports Startups

Kakao VX announced on the 21st that it will carry out the 'Sangsang Challenge Sports Accelerating' program to discover startups in related fields and support innovative growth in collaboration with the sports-specialized startup Sangsang eBiz.

The Sangsang Challenge Sports Accelerating, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, and Sangsang eBiz, is an investment-specialized professional incubation program designed to help sports industry startup companies enter the market and create jobs. Applications will be accepted until March 6 from companies established less than seven years ago (excluding prospective startups) on the sports industry support website, and a total of nine companies will be selected.

Kakao VX will participate for the second consecutive year following last year to discover the latent competitiveness of startups and support the momentum for sustainable growth through infrastructure, know-how, and investment linkage. In addition, by helping all citizens continue healthy exercise, it plans to fulfill corporate social responsibility through ESG (environment, social, governance) management.

A Kakao VX official said, "Co-growth and coexistence are the most important values that Kakao VX pursues," adding, "We will explore various ways to find collaboration opportunities with startups."
