[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] JW Pharmaceutical announced on the 21st that it has launched a low-irritant foam dressing called ‘HiMom Foam Apre’.
HiMom Foam Apre is a foam dressing composed of polyurethane foam and a silicone sheet adhesive. Instead of acrylic adhesive, which can cause allergic reactions, silicone is applied to minimize skin irritation. It is also economical and convenient as it is a cut-to-use type.
The product is used by cutting the foam to fit the wound size and then attaching the silicone sheet on top, absorbing exudate and protecting various surgical wounds such as blisters, burns, and pressure ulcers. In particular, it was developed with a soft 2mm foam, allowing wound protection even when applied over blisters.
A JW Pharmaceutical official said, “HiMom Foam Apre uses a silicone sheet, so even people with sensitive skin, such as infants, can use it with confidence,” and added, “We will strengthen our lineup along with the existing HiMom Band to enhance market competitiveness.”
HiMom Foam Apre is a medical device and can be purchased at pharmacies.
