4·16 Minjushimin Education Center, Sewol Ferry Disaster Memorial Exhibition... Until March 28

[Asia Economy (Ansan) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The 4·16 Democratic Citizen Education Center will hold the 4·16 Sewol Ferry Disaster Memorial Exhibition "Ninth, Yellow Story" from the 21st of this month to the 28th of next month.

This exhibition marks the 9th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry disaster and features works by 19 bereaved families of Danwon High School victims, sharing personal stories they have not been able to convey until now.

The main exhibits include 57 craft works and videos created with the hearts of the families of the deceased students, such as quilts, knots, pressed flowers, and paintings made with flowers.

The exhibition will be held on the first floor of the Mirae Hope Hall at the education center located in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province.

Jeon Myung-sun, director of the 4·16 Democratic Citizen Education Center, said, "It has already been 9 years since the Sewol Ferry disaster occurred," adding, "I hope this exhibition, which contains the personal stories the bereaved families want to share, will be a time to empathize with and commemorate their pain beyond time and space."
