Mint Air to Introduce Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Aircraft for '9 Passengers'

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Mint Air announced on the 21st that it has signed a letter of intent to purchase hybrid electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft from the American aircraft manufacturer Odis.

Odis's VTOL aircraft has a range of 1,200 km. It can fly 321 km solely on electric power without emitting carbon dioxide. It can carry up to 9 passengers and 2 pilots.

Choi Yoo-jin, CEO of Mint Air, explained, "Odis's hybrid electric VTOL aircraft can fly long distances of 1,200 km and has excellent energy efficiency. We chose it because it has low operating costs and a clear certification pathway."
