Lotte Property & Development (Lotte P&D) announced on the 21st that it is hosting 10 employees from Lotte P&D Vietnam at Lotte World Tower to conduct a technical training program until the 24th.
This program is designed to share the technical expertise and operational experience of Lotte World Tower and Mall. It began on the 20th with the invitation of 10 Lotte P&D Vietnam employees, each having over 10 years of experience in fields such as architecture, mechanical, electrical, and fire safety.
Based on the expertise accumulated from managing domestic real estate including Lotte World Tower, Lotte Property & Development established its Vietnam subsidiary last year to enter the Vietnamese real estate management market. It also acquired a 77.5% stake in CORALIS S.A. last year and is responsible for operating Lotte Center Hanoi, a landmark in Vietnam.
Lotte Property & Development employees are conducting technical training sessions with the P&D Vietnam staff in teams. They will receive education on technology and operations at key facilities within the tower and mall, including various mechanical equipment, the energy center, the integrated disaster prevention center, and evacuation safety zones. They will visit the Shin Kyuk-ho Memorial Hall on the 5th floor of Lotte World Tower to learn about Lotte’s history and tour the tower and mall’s commercial facilities such as the Seoul Sky observatory, aquarium, and cinema.
Ra Ban Thang, Senior Manager of P&D Vietnam participating in the program, said, "This is an opportunity to directly see and learn the technology of the global landmark Lotte World Tower and Mall," adding, "I plan to share this knowledge with local employees when I return to Vietnam." Lee Kyung-gu, Head of New Business Team at Lotte Property & Development, said, "This program was planned to share the operational experience of Lotte World Tower and Mall and to communicate with P&D Vietnam employees," and added, "Enhancing employee capabilities will lead to securing competitiveness in the Vietnamese real estate market."
Meanwhile, Lotte World Tower, which opened in 2017, is a supertall building equipped with world-class safety systems and won the Presidential Award at the 18th Korea Safety Awards in 2019. The tower also received the Grand Prize at the 2022 Seoul Metropolitan Government Environmental Awards in recognition of its contribution to energy transition through the installation of various renewable energy facilities such as water heat, geothermal, and solar energy systems.
