In the complaint, A stated, "By delivering words that cause sexual shame or disgust to the other party through the communication medium of radio with the purpose of arousing or satisfying one's or another person's sexual desire, the crime of using a communication medium for obscenity has been committed." He also cited a Supreme Court precedent, saying, "Causing sexual shame or disgust means going beyond mere embarrassment or discomfort to the victim and violating the sexual moral sense of an average person in society."

A said, "If a male MC made similar remarks toward a female guest, that male MC would carry the label of a sex offender for life," adding, "Considering the social awareness emphasizing gender equality, no one should have to hear sexual remarks from others online against their will."

Under the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes, performing obscene acts using a communication medium can result in imprisonment of up to two years or a fine of up to 5 million won.

Some citizens also filed complaints with the Korea Communications Standards Commission regarding the controversial 'Lee Kyung-sil remarks.' As the controversy continued to escalate, SBS made the 'Escape at Two Cultwo Show' video with visible radio on YouTube private and suspended the replay service.
