Busan Office of Education Announces Local Government Officials' Midterm Personnel Changes ... 760 People Including 101 Promotions

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced the local government personnel appointments effective March 1, 2023, on the 20th.


The personnel appointments include 101 promotions, 245 transfers, 73 new appointments, and 281 organizational name changes, totaling 760 people.


This personnel appointment was made in connection with the March organizational restructuring, considering adjustments in organization and manpower, selecting personnel suitable for fulfilling the campaign promises of the 5th elected superintendent and the implementation of major policies.


Promotions were given to public officials who demonstrated capabilities in various job series such as educational administration, librarianship, facilities, sanitation, and office operations.

The promoted personnel include 2 at grade 4, 9 at grade 5, and 90 below grade 6. Among the grade 4 promotions, Jo Won-hwan, responsible for appointment cooperation in the Teacher Personnel Division, was promoted to Director of the Regional Education Gap Resolution Office, and Bae Yong-deok, in charge of Green Smart Future School Planning at the Green Smart Future School Promotion Team, was promoted to Head of the School Architecture Support Division.


Transfers were made by comprehensively considering the characteristics of institutions (departments), individual job capabilities, preferences, and residences to place the right personnel in the right positions.


For executives at grade 4 and above, appointments were made based on work performance and job competence, placing suitable personnel capable of resolving current issues and actively promoting various educational policies.


Additionally, to effectively promote the newly established Regional Education Gap Resolution Office in the Busan area, suitable personnel capable of discovering and implementing educational balance policies from diverse perspectives were selected from the headquarters, education support offices, and schools.


Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, “This personnel appointment focused on placing individuals with expertise and abilities in appropriate positions to swiftly and effectively implement our education policies. We will continue to strive to promote personnel policies based on communication and empathy.”
