Boseong-gun Strengthens Cooperation with Sister Cities

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do is strengthening cooperation with sister cities to revitalize the Hometown Love Donation Program.

On the 20th, Kim Cheol-woo, the governor of Boseong-gun, and Kim Byeong-nae, the mayor of Gwangju Nam-gu, met at Boseong-gun Office, supporting the development of both cities and mutually donating hometown love donations.

This donation by the heads of the two organizations was arranged to promote the exchange and cooperation relationship between Boseong-gun and Gwangju Nam-gu Office, create a donation relay atmosphere, and activate the hometown love donation system in the two local governments.

Boseong-gun plans to cooperate with 12 sister cities in the future, starting with Gwangju Nam-gu Office, to establish the hometown love donation system and revitalize the local economy.

Governor Kim Cheol-woo said, “I hope that through this donation, interest in the Hometown Love Donation Program will spread, a sound donation culture will be established, and it will lead to regional development of Boseong-gun and Gwangju Nam-gu Office.” He added, “I ask for active interest and participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program.”

Mayor Kim Byeong-nae said, “I hope Boseong-gun and Gwangju Nam-gu Office can develop together through the Hometown Love Donation Program.” He added, “Please show great interest so that the love for hometown can lead to the development of the hometown.”

Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation Program is a system where individuals donate a certain amount to local governments other than their jurisdictional address through Hometown Love e-um and NongHyup branches, receiving tax deductions and return gifts (up to 30% based on the donation amount).

Boseong-gun provides return gifts including local specialties such as kiwi, cockles, and green tea, as well as Boseong Love Gift Certificates and Boseong Mall mobile coupons, and plans to discover various return gifts such as lodging and experience, pet-related products, and grass-cutting agency services in the future.
