Cooperation Between Seongju-gun and Uiryeong-gun to Establish Hometown Love Donation Program

[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Jeonnam Muan-gun (Governor Kim San) took steps on the 17th to establish cooperative relationships with sister cities Seongju-gun and Uiryeong-gun to promote the hometown love donation system and the Jeonnam Sarangae Supporters.

According to the county on the 20th, a cooperative delegation consisting of Lee Gwang-jin, head of the Autonomous Administration Division, and the Hometown Love team visited Seongju-gun in Gyeongbuk and Uiryeong-gun in Gyeongnam to promote the Muan-gun hometown love donation system and Jeonnam Sarangae Supporters, and to establish a win-win cooperative relationship with the sister cities Seongju-gun and Uiryeong-gun.

In addition, in order to revitalize the hometown love donation system, they exchanged specific opinions on cooperation such as mutual donations among affiliated employees, placing promotional materials in each local government, and promoting return gifts.

Lee Gwang-jin, head of the Autonomous Administration Division, said, “I hope that continuous exchanges and mutual cooperation with sister cities will positively contribute to the development of Muan-gun and the sister cities,” and added, “We support the establishment of the hometown love donation system in Seongju-gun and Uiryeong-gun.”

Meanwhile, donors to the hometown love donation system can receive tax credit benefits and local specialties as return gifts.

Muan-gun’s return gifts include Muan Sarang gift certificates, agricultural product packages, Korean beef, Korean pork, rice, seaweed, onion beverages, onion juice, cabbage juice, sweet potatoes, and garlic. Seongju-gun’s return gifts include oriental melons, mushrooms, Korean beef, scarves, rice, cheonggukjang, apples, omija syrup, jocheong, misutgaru, and a set of sauces. Uiryeong-gun’s return gifts consist of Uiryeong Sarang gift certificates, Korean pork, rice, soybean paste, roasted buckwheat tea, and a cheonggukjang bojagi set.
