Men's Golf Weekly Ranking
Tiger Woods (USA), who returned to the field after 7 months through the PGA Tour Genesis Invitational, has raised his world ranking by more than 300 places.
Woods rose to 985th place with an average ranking points of 0.0927 in the weekly men's golf world rankings announced on the 20th. He jumped 309 places from 1294th the previous week. He participated in the official tournament Genesis Invitational for the first time in 7 months since missing the cut at The Open last July. His final result was tied for 45th place (1-under 283 strokes).
Jon Rahm (Spain), who won this tournament with 17-under 267 strokes, regained the world No. 1 spot with an average ranking points of 9.5152. He rose two places from 3rd last week. This is Rahm's first time back at No. 1 in men's golf in 11 months since March last year.
Scotty Scheffler (USA), who was previously No. 1, dropped to 2nd, and Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) slipped one place to 3rd. Max Homa (USA), the runner-up in this tournament, rose from 12th to 8th place.
Among Korean players, Kim Joo-hyung (21) remained at 15th, and Im Sung-jae (25) stayed at 18th with no change in ranking. Lee Kyoung-hoon (32) moved up one place from 39th to 38th, and Kim Si-woo (28) remained at 42nd with no change. Wang Jeong-hoon (28), who recently achieved back-to-back 'Top 10' finishes in DP World Tour events, jumped from 540th to 451st place.
