[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Jeju Coast Guard will conduct practical tests for the power water leisure craft operator license required for water leisure activities from next month until November.
According to the Jeju Coast Guard on the 20th, the power water leisure craft operator license is a national qualification required to operate power water leisure craft with a propulsion engine of 5 horsepower or more. The eligibility to apply is 14 years or older (18 years or older for a first-class operator license).
Additionally, after passing the written and practical exams for the power water leisure craft operator license and completing 3 hours of water safety education, the license can be obtained.

The written exam can be taken up to twice a day on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (excluding lunch break from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.) at the Jeju Coast Guard PC testing center (1st floor), and on the first Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
When pre-registering online through the Water Leisure Comprehensive Information system, applicants can select their preferred date and time.
The expected written exam question book can be borrowed not only from the Water Leisure Comprehensive Information system but also from the Jeju Coast Guard Civil Service Office and nearby police stations (Jeju, Hallim).
The practical exam can be taken 18 times a year (once a month per category) at two locations: the Jeju Operator License Testing Center and the Yacht Operator License Testing Center.
