According to the county on the 20th, the dialogue with residents held for the first time in four years due to COVID-19 was filled with residents who, along with the launch of the 8th local government, were expecting a blueprint for "Residents as owners, a livable Jindo," raising expectations for county administration despite the cold weather.

Also, to create a substantial communication platform by simplifying the format and formalities, before the full dialogue with residents, time was allocated to explain Jindo County's future vision and major policies, including the county administration vision and goals and this year's key promotion tasks.

Especially during the dialogue with residents, with senior officials from Jindo County Office attending, Governor Kim Heesoo and heads of each department immediately responded to residents' questions, continuing candid communication.

Listening carefully to all proposed opinions, Governor Kim Heesoo answered on-site for opinions that could be responded to immediately and stated that for matters requiring departmental review and confirmation, decisions on whether to proceed would be made through thorough examination.

Governor Kim Heesoo said, "Through dialogue with residents, I have carefully listened to the precious voices of the people," and added, "We plan to share local issues and reflect residents' suggestions and difficulties in county administration."

He added, "To enhance residents' convenience and practice people-centered administration focused on communication, empathy, and fieldwork, I will continue to visit residents and vividly listen to each precious opinion."

A resident who attended the dialogue with residents said, "I am grateful that the governor personally visited the site to listen to residents' inconveniences and suggestions and collected various opinions," and added, "I hope more voices of livelihood will be heard in the future."

Meanwhile, the "Dialogue with Residents" held until the 17th was conducted in seven towns and townships to directly hear various opinions from residents on inconveniences and county development plans and to derive solutions on-site.
