Gochang-gun Supports Newlywed Couples with Housing Loan Interest... Up to 2 Million KRW

[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 20th that it will support housing loan interest for newlyweds.

The county has allocated a budget of 200 million won this year to support up to 2% of the loan balance per household (with a maximum limit of 2 million won), and applications can be made for three years.

Eligibility requires newlyweds within five years of their marriage registration date, both spouses must have been registered residents of Gochang-gun for more than six months as of the application date, and the combined annual income of the couple must be 80 million won or less.

The first application period starts from the 2nd of next month, and one of the newlyweds must submit the relevant documents at the jurisdictional town or township office, after which support will be provided following eligibility review.

County Governor Shim Deokseop said, “I hope this will help newlyweds who are struggling with high housing costs,” and added, “The county will actively support all available resources to create a warm and cozy home.”
