[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Hugel held a series of events for employees to expand its presence in the global market.
On the 18th, Hugel announced on the 20th that it held the ‘2023 Kickoff Meeting’ for employees. Under the theme ‘2023 Hugel, Next Level!’, this event was organized to share the key business plans for 2023 aimed at growing Hugel as a global medical aesthetic leader. It was conducted simultaneously on-site and via online live streaming.
Son Ji-hoon, CEO, who cited ‘advancing global market entry through continuous internal capability enhancement’ as the main goal, also provided detailed explanations of strategies and plans by division. Especially this year, with expectations for U.S. product approvals, expansion in the European market, and launches in Canada and Australia, he emphasized strengthening global marketing activities and completing preparations for the operation of the third factory. Additionally, visions for portfolio diversification, securing new growth engines through enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation, and strengthening internal systems were shared. The event also featured a special lecture on ‘The Psychology of Growth’ and an ‘Employee Introduction Interview’ where employees recommended inspiring colleagues or shared touching experiences within the company, receiving enthusiastic responses from staff.
Earlier, on the 9th, the Global Business Division held the 2023 first half POA (Plan of Action). Following record-high sales last year and raising the global share to nearly 60%, the division announced plans to grow sales by around 20% compared to last year and expand the overseas share to 80% by 2025.
The event was attended by employees from the Global Business Division, Global Marketing Team, China Corporation, and other related departments, and included presentations on key strategies by country where Hugel operates. Market status, main goals for 2023, and detailed activity plans were shared for Asian regions including China, Thailand, and Taiwan, as well as South America and European countries. The event also featured presentations of last year’s best practices followed by an awards ceremony.
A Hugel official said, “The kickoff meeting and global POA event were composed of various programs to not only present last year’s business performance and this year’s plans but also to increase employee participation and build mutual bonds,” adding, “We hope it served as an opportunity for all employees to reaffirm their commitment to Hugel’s leap as a global leading company.”
