[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Women Venture Association announced on the 20th that it will conduct the '2023 Women Venture Startup Care Program' for female prospective entrepreneurs.
The Women Venture Startup Care Program targets women who wish to start ventures based on promising ideas and technologies. It plays a pivotal role in concretizing early commercialization strategies and establishing a foothold in the market, while annually discovering and nurturing outstanding female prospective entrepreneurs. Last year, the applicant competition rate was 12 to 1, indicating increasing demand.
This year, additional demand-driven programs will be operated through expert lectures and topic-specific bridge networking.
Sixty selected candidates through document evaluation will receive startup expert education and mentoring to support market validation and business model enhancement. Among them, 30 finalists selected through presentation evaluation will receive a package support including close coaching from women venture CEOs, sample development, marketing, and necessary funds for commercialization tasks (up to 10 million KRW).
Graduates of the program will be given opportunities to participate in business contests, and the final outstanding individuals (teams) will be awarded the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award. Follow-up support includes networking opportunities for investment attraction and market expansion through linkage events with partner organizations such as venture capitalists (VCs) and angel investors affiliated with the association.
Any female prospective entrepreneur preparing to start a business with a venture idea can apply. Applications can be submitted online through the announcements on the association’s website.
