Geochang-gun Conducts Public Campaign to Promote Disaster Response Guidelines

Promoting Safety Awareness in Daily Life to Residents

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 20th that about 25 people, including members of the Autonomous Disaster Prevention Corps and volunteer firefighters, participated in a disaster response public action guideline promotion campaign held at the cultural rest area in front of the county office.


This campaign was conducted in the form of a street campaign distributing promotional booklets to residents and stores, explaining the action rules and response guidelines for various types of disasters and daily safety accidents.

The promotional booklet contains action guidelines for 12 types of disasters such as fire, forest fire, and electrical accidents, as well as 14 types including first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, explained in an easy-to-understand manner with illustrations.


County Governor Gu In-mo said, “Through this campaign, I hope residents will familiarize themselves with the national action guidelines for each type of disaster and respond quickly and safely when disasters occur. We will continue to promote safety-related campaigns to help spread a culture of safety in Geochang-gun.”


Geochang-gun plans to implement various projects to enhance residents’ safety awareness, including safety education by life cycle, residents’ safety classes, operation of the Gajo-myeon Safety Experience Center, and Safety Inspection Day campaigns.
