On the 17th, Pohang City held an ambassador appointment ceremony and announced the reappointment of trot star singer Jeon Yujin as Pohang City’s ambassador.

Since being appointed as the city’s ambassador in January 2021, singer Jeon Yujin has continuously engaged in promotional activities for the Pohang region, including participating in the “Love Pohang Address” campaign song and music video. Last year, she comforted the hearts of Pohang citizens weary from COVID-19 through congratulatory performances at the Pohang Citizens’ Day ceremony and the opening of the 60th Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival.

The city recognized Jeon Yujin’s exceptional affection and passion in actively promoting Pohang and decided to reappoint her. With this appointment, Jeon Yujin will serve as an ambassador for the next two years, providing cultural enjoyment to citizens and promoting Pohang nationwide.

The city expects that Jeon Yujin will maximize regional promotional effects by spreading Pohang’s policies and culture with her bright and positive energy.

Currently attending Pohang Dongseong High School, Jeon Yujin began her rise by winning the 2019 Pohang Beach Song Festival. She gained nationwide attention with her charming voice and fresh performances on TV Chosun’s Miss Trot 2, and continues to receive nationwide love through various performances and broadcasts.
