[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam successfully held a dialogue with citizens on the 17th at the Jinhae District Office large conference room.
Nearly 500 citizens, exceeding the venue's capacity, filled the space.
Some people lined up before the event to leave messages for Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, in the 'Voice of the Citizens' box prepared on site. After the dialogue, a photo zone was operated where citizens could take commemorative photos together, receiving a positive response.
Before the dialogue with citizens, Mayor Hong took the stage and directly presented via PPT the direction of city administration. He shared with the citizens the implementation plans for over 30 tasks under five major strategies, including building an innovative growth foundation to realize the vision of the 8th elected administration, "Changwon, the Northeast Asia Central City."
Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, is having a conversation with citizens in the main conference room of Jinhae District Office on the 17th.
He also explained key district issues such as support for the shipbuilding industry following the expiration of Jinhae District's designation as an employment crisis area and the park golf course development project.
He then discussed a total of 33 projects in front of the residents, including major local issues by neighborhood and region: ▲ Jinhae Naval Port Commercial Renaissance Project ▲ Creation of residents' resting areas ▲ Expansion of Sokcheon Coastal Road in front of Jinhaeru and increase of roadside parking lots ▲ Prompt opening of the 2nd Anmin Tunnel ▲ Creation of Jinhaeman Sunset Road ▲ Swift maintenance of Uigok Stream, among others.
Mayor Hong said, "I thank all the citizens who brightened the event by participating despite their busy schedules. Regarding the suggestions delivered today, we will promptly handle parts that can be addressed immediately and carefully analyze those that require more time to resolve them."
Meanwhile, the fourth dialogue with citizens is scheduled to be held on the 21st at the Masanhappo District Office large conference room.
