[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Silla University held the 50th degree conferment ceremony for the 2022 academic year at 10 a.m. on the 16th in the main auditorium of the Future Aviation Convergence Hall.
This degree conferment ceremony was conducted as an in-person event with all graduates participating for the first time in three years since the COVID-19 pandemic, with about 300 attendees including Chairman Park Eon-pyo, President Heo Nam-sik, internal and external guests, faculty and staff, parents, and graduates.
The event proceeded in the order of opening ceremony, ▲national anthem, ▲academic report, ▲degree certificate conferment, ▲award presentation for outstanding graduates, and ▲president's congratulatory address.
The total number of degree recipients for the first semester of the 2022 academic year was 1,575, including 16 doctoral degrees, 94 master's degrees, and 1,465 bachelor's degrees.
In his congratulatory address, President Heo Nam-sik said, “I urge you to have an indomitable spirit of challenge no matter what hardships you face in this rapidly changing society,” and added, “We will build a solid and strong university so that you can take pride in it.”
