BPA Conducts Safety Inspection for Busan Port New Port During Thawing Season

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Port Authority (BPA) conducted a safety inspection on the 16th at major port facilities and the port access roads of Busan New Port to prevent safety accidents during the thawing season.


On that day, the BPA Operations Director and the New Port Branch Manager, along with field staff, inspected the New Port terminal facilities and checked the progress of environmental (cleaning) work on the port access roads with the Busan New Port Facility Management Center personnel.

The inspection focused on preventing safety accidents by checking ▲facility congestion and risk of toppling ▲prevention of ground cracks and collapses ▲securing safety measures for road environmental (cleaning) work ▲identifying major hazardous and dangerous factors within the workplace.


Through this inspection, BPA plans to examine facilities and sites with potential safety accident risks during the thawing season and take corrective actions on any deficiencies found.


Hong Seong-jun, BPA Operations Director, said, “Please thoroughly carry out voluntary safety activities to prevent industrial accidents at operational sites within the New Port by referring to the safety measures for the thawing season. In particular, ensure thorough prevention of safety accidents through regular safety inspections and prompt corrective actions.”
