AlbaCheonguk Survey of Part-Time Workers
9 out of 10 Continue Wearing Masks
Even after the mask-wearing mandate was lifted during work hours, it was found on the 17th that 9 out of 10 part-time workers continue to wear masks.
AlbaCheonguk, a job recruitment portal specializing in part-time jobs, surveyed 1,567 part-time workers from the 6th to the 9th about their perception of mask-wearing during work, and 80.6% of respondents answered positively.
The biggest reason they viewed wearing masks during part-time work positively was "hygiene management (56.8%, multiple responses allowed)."
Following that were ▲avoiding unnecessary disputes with customers over mask-wearing and reassuring customers (49.9%) ▲reducing anxiety about COVID-19 infection (43.7%) ▲ease of managing facial expressions during work (33.3%) ▲less need to pay attention to appearance before coming to work (27.5%).

Even after the indoor mask-wearing mandate was lifted, 89.6% responded that they continue to wear masks during part-time work.
The biggest reasons for not removing masks were "to prevent COVID-19 infection (39.7%)" and "because hygiene management is important due to the nature of the job (39.6%)."
Following were ▲finding it more comfortable to wear masks for managing facial expressions and appearance (34.0%) ▲still feeling awkward or self-conscious about working without a mask (30.6%) ▲mask-wearing being mandatory according to work guidelines (22.2%) ▲customers still feeling uneasy (20.5%).
On the other hand, the proportion of part-time workers who viewed mask-wearing negatively during work even after the indoor mask mandate was lifted was only 15.9%.
The biggest discomfort they cited was "pain, trouble, and stuffiness caused by wearing masks during work (91.6%)." Other reasons included difficulty communicating with customers and the burden of mask costs.
