In the article titled <[Tracking the Actual Condition of Jeonse Fraud]⑨ The Fraud of the Construction King of ‘Nahollo Apartment’ in Michuhol-gu, Incheon> published on January 18, 2023, this newspaper reported the results of a police investigation indicating that construction contractor A is suspected of embezzling 26.6 billion KRW in jeonse deposits from 327 households in the Michuhol-gu area of Incheon.
In response, construction contractor A stated, "The 26.6 billion KRW in deposits that the police claim were embezzled has not yet materialized as an actual loss. We are doing our best to prevent any damage to the tenants through asset sales and other measures."
