[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Samsung Electronics will officially launch the 'Galaxy S23' series in major countries worldwide on the 17th.
Samsung Electronics will begin releasing the product sequentially in a total of over 130 countries, starting with 55 countries including South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, and Dubai.
The Galaxy S23 series offers a more perfect camera experience by featuring innovative functions such as 'Nightography' across all models, including the 'Ultra' model with a 200-megapixel camera, as well as the 'S23+' and 'S23' models.
Additionally, all models are equipped with the 'Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy,' delivering more powerful usability and mobile gaming experiences. This product also expands the use of various recycled materials in line with the 'Galaxy for the Planet' vision.
Samsung Electronics began pre-sales of the Galaxy S23 series globally following the Galaxy Unpacked event, kicking off a worldwide hit.
In particular, in South Korea, pre-sales reached 1.09 million units over seven days, surpassing last year's record of 1.017 million units for the Galaxy S22 series in just one year.
Currently, Samsung Electronics is operating the 'Galaxy Experience Space' worldwide to allow consumers to directly experience the various innovative features of the Galaxy S23 series.
This experience center will be open until the end of this month in 24 cities across 19 countries worldwide, including San Francisco in the United States, London in the United Kingdom, Paris in France, Singapore, and Dubai, where the Galaxy Unpacked event was held.
In South Korea, the 'Galaxy Studio' is operating in the Seongsu, Hongdae, and Yeonnam areas of Seoul, popular hotspots among the MZ generation. It has introduced a 'tour' concept that allows visitors to fully experience both Seoul's local culture and the Galaxy S23 series simultaneously, and will operate until the 26th of next month.
Samsung Electronics offers purchasing customers a one-year Samsung Care+ damage protection plan and one genuine case, or a 100,000 KRW coupon usable at the event mall. These benefits are available until April 30th.
The 'Additional Trade-in Compensation Program' for Galaxy S23 series buyers will also run until the end of March. When returning an existing smartphone, customers will receive up to an additional 150,000 KRW on top of the basic trade-in price.
Notae-moon, President of Samsung Electronics MX Division, said, "Samsung Electronics pays attention to consumers' demands for products that allow free and creative self-expression. The initial market response to the Galaxy S23 series confirmed consumers' strong trust in the Galaxy brand, and we will continue to strive to provide mobile experiences based on innovation and sustainability."
