Ulsan City announced on the 16th at 11 a.m. in the mayor's office that comedian Nam Hee-seok would be awarded the Ulsan City Honorary Citizen Plaque and a commemorative medal.

Since January last year, Nam Hee-seok has been hosting KBS Ulsan Broadcasting's "Nam Hee-seok's Ulsan Era," attracting attention by addressing various regional issues from a new perspective. He is highly regarded for his significant contributions to forming social consensus and promoting Ulsan by exploring and discovering diverse figures from Ulsan.

As a local broadcast, he has been praised for visiting Ulsan every week to communicate with Ulsan citizens and increasing opportunities to reduce feelings of cultural alienation in the region.

Currently, the new-concept current affairs talk program "Ulsan Era" on KBS Ulsan Broadcasting is being hosted by comedian Lee Yong-sik, who is the second host following Nam Hee-seok.

The Ulsan City Honorary Citizen Certificate is a system awarded to foreigners, overseas Koreans, and figures from other cities or provinces who have made significant contributions to the development of city administration. Honorary citizens are appointed to various city committees and legal advisory roles and are honored by being invited to major city-related events such as cultural festivals and commemorative ceremonies.
