Yongin City Provides Up to 90% Support for 'Performance and Exhibition Venue Rental Fees' for Artists Yongin City Hall Panorama

[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, is recruiting applicants for this year's performance venue rental fee support until the 28th.

Yongin City conducts an annual performance venue rental fee support project to reduce the financial burden on local artists for their performances and exhibitions, and to further revitalize the arts within the region.

The support targets performing arts such as theater, dance, music, musicals, and visual arts such as fine arts and crafts held at rental facilities like performance halls and exhibition halls within the province.

For each performance or exhibition, up to KRW 5 million is supported, covering up to 90% of the total rental fee including auxiliary facility usage fees.

The city will review the appropriateness of the project plan, contribution to local cultural development, and performance records over the past two years to finalize the support recipients in April.

Any professional arts corporations, groups, general arts organizations, or artists active in the region can apply.

Applicants can download the application form from the announcement section on the city’s website, fill it out, and submit it in person to the Culture and Arts Division or send it via email to the person in charge (kjh0219@korea.kr).

Detailed information can be found on the announcement section of the Yongin City Hall website.

A city official stated, "We expect this project supporting rental fees for performance and exhibition venues to be a practical help to artists and organizations."
