Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Holds 'Safety Campaign' with Classification Society

Participation of 6 Shipping Companies... Encouraging the Hard Work of On-site Workers

According to the heavy industries on the 15th, on the 14th, the company held a safety campaign at its yard with the participation of about 50 personnel from six classification societies: ABS (USA), BV (France), DNV (Norway), KR (Korea), LR (UK), and NK (Japan), along with company executives and employees.


During the campaign, promotional vehicles and slogan banners were used to encourage on-site workers to comply with work procedures and safety regulations.


In particular, classification society personnel personally distributed 800 servings of coffee and steamed buns to on-site workers, urging the successful construction of ships through safe work practices.


Kim Byung-mo, head of ABS classification society who participated in the campaign, said, “While thorough quality control is essential, securing the safety of workers is the most important.”


A Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries official stated, “We are doing our best in education and campaign promotion to reflect the management’s commitment to creating a zero-accident workplace.”
