Recruitment of 30 'Citizen Auditors' in Nam-gu, Gwangju

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is publicly recruiting the 7th Nam-gu Citizen Auditors to expand opportunities for resident participation in audit administration and to ensure transparent audits conducted by residents with professional qualifications in various fields.


According to Nam-gu on the 14th, the recruitment of Nam-gu Citizen Auditors will be held until the 21st. The number of people to be recruited this time is 30.

Anyone who is registered as a resident in Nam-gu and is an expert or worker in fields such as culture, environment, construction, health, and welfare, or who has a strong sense of mission and justice to eradicate corruption and fraud, can apply.


Nam-gu will select citizen auditors by evaluating expertise and participation in district administration in the first document screening, then conducting a second qualification screening, and selecting those with the highest combined scores in order. During this process, the balance of administrative neighborhoods of residence and gender will also be considered.


In the case of a tie, elderly applicants will be given priority.


However, those who have difficulty performing duties, those currently active as various monitoring personnel for public institutions, and residents who frequently file objections, complaints, or accusations against administrative agencies due to personal interests are excluded from participation.


The term of office for citizen auditors is two years, and they will be responsible for activities for fair and transparent audits and investigations into various inconveniences in residents' daily lives to protect residents' rights and interests.


Applications can be submitted by visiting the Audit Officer's Office on the 7th floor of Nam-gu Office, or by email, mail, or fax by the 21st.
