SKT T Membership, 3,246 Members Receive Benefits Over 1 Million Won

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] SK Telecom revealed the ‘2022 T Membership Data Guinness’ of various records through its newsroom on the 14th.


T Membership offers diverse benefits including various discounts and points accumulation through about 120 partner stores, monthly ‘T Day’ events, ‘0 Day’ for the MZ generation, and ‘VIP Pick’ exclusively for VIP customers.

Especially in these times of high inflation and high interest rates, when customers’ wallets have become thinner, a rational consumption trend is spreading by using T Membership to receive daily discounts of 2,000 to 3,000 KRW at convenience stores, bakeries, cafes, etc., or enjoying free movie screenings every month through VIP Pick.


According to data released by the SKT newsroom, the customer who used T Membership the most last year used it 1,855 times. This means using discounts and points accumulation more than five times a day on average. It was also confirmed that 3,246 customers received benefits worth more than 1 million KRW.


Among the approximately 120 T Membership partner stores, the field with the highest usage rate was bakeries. The customer who purchased the most bread using T Membership bought bread 448 times in one year.


Along with bakeries, cafes are one of the most frequently used partner stores, and there was a customer who purchased 314 drinks, showing that many customers enjoy one coffee a day using T Membership.


Many customers also used T Membership for others. The customer who gave the most gifticon gifts through discounts and points accumulation with T Membership purchased 268 times in one year.


There are also customers who consume content rationally using T Membership. The customer who watched the most movies through T Membership viewed 104 times in the past year. T Membership provides VIP grade customers with annual free movies and weekday movie ticket 1+1 benefits up to 12 times, and Gold and Silver grade customers with discounts of up to 4,000 KRW per ticket for up to 5 tickets.


Also, the customer who received the most discounts using T Membership when using content on B tv and One Store received a total of 1,822 discount benefits last year.


Yoon Jae-woong, head of SKT Subscription CO, said, “The number of pure users of the T Membership app (MAU) exceeded 5.5 million last December, and the number of customers who consume rationally by receiving diverse and abundant benefits is increasing,” adding, “Rather than vaguely reducing consumption, carefully checking and making good use of the various benefits of T Membership for necessary consumption will be a wise way of life to overcome the current recession when wallets have become noticeably thinner.”
