The Key is to Relax the Left Arm
Weight Should Be Transferred in the Order of Left Arm → Right Foot → Right Arm
Professional golfer Heo Seok taught the 'Swinging Swing Method,' which explosively increases driving distance with minimal effort.
In a video uploaded on the 13th to Pro Heo Seok TV, Heo Seok demonstrated the Swinging Swing Method to golfers struggling with short driving distances.
On that day, Heo Seok personally showcased the Swinging Swing and emphasized, "The most important point of the Swinging Swing is 'relaxing the left arm.'" He explained that by keeping the force applied to the left arm below 10% at impact and generating speed using only the weight of the club and hands, one can increase driving distance without exerting much effort.
Initially, Heo Seok generated speed using only his left arm, but gradually began increasing swing speed by using his right foot and right hand together. When the left arm drops sharply toward the ground during the swing, pushing the right foot to the left applies weight and adds acceleration. After practicing this several times to get the feel, straightening the bent right elbow at the same point adds the weight of the right arm to the swing, further increasing speed.
Heo Seok said, "When first learning the Swinging Swing, rather than trying to generate speed immediately, you should practice with the mindset of 'learning how to relax.'" He added, "If you don’t know well how to relax, you should hold the club upside down and swing it several times to get the feel." He then advised, "Once your posture becomes fairly natural, hold the club properly and practice impact."
