[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] The Galaxy S23 series will begin activation for pre-order customers on the 14th.


During the seven-day pre-order period from the 7th to the 13th, the most reserved device was the Ultra model.

SKT reported that among the Galaxy S23 series, the Ultra accounted for 61%, the base model 21%, and the Plus 18%. Customers in their 30s and 40s made up about 55% of all pre-order subscribers. KT stated that the Ultra accounted for 54%, and LG Uplus reported the Ultra at 50%, the base model at 30%, and the Plus at 20%.


The Phantom Black color was the most popular. By model, the Ultra favored Phantom Black and Green, while the base and Plus models showed a higher preference for the Cream color.


KT explained, "The 'Double Storage' benefit, which offers a 512GB device at the price of a 256GB device, along with the application processor (AP) specialized for the Galaxy S23 series and the enhanced camera performance, has increased customer interest and preference, leading to many pre-order customers applying."


Additionally, the Galaxy S23 Ultra BMW M Edition, launched in collaboration with BMW Korea and limited to 1,000 units, sold out on the first day of pre-orders. The Galaxy S23 and Ultra Starbucks edition, limited to 10,000 units, is also showing high pre-order sales rates.

Samsung Electronics has opened a 'Galaxy Studio' in the Seongsu, Hongdae, and Yeonnam areas of Seoul, where customers can freely experience the Galaxy S23 series.


The newly opened Galaxy Studio allows visitors to enjoy various attractions of the Galaxy S23 series, including the camera, gaming, and connectivity features. In a space decorated with exotic neon lights and color lasers, visitors can take vivid photos with detailed clarity using the ultra-high-definition camera and Nightography function. They can experience overwhelming gaming performance with titles such as Genshin Impact, New State Mobile, and KartRider: Drift. The studio also includes the 'For the Planet' studio, sharing a sustainability philosophy, and the 'Connectivity' studio, where users can enjoy connections between Galaxy devices.


Collaborative exhibitions with famous artists and various brands are also held. Visitors can appreciate works such as 'Eclipse' by artist Jung Sung-yoon, inspired by the wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, and telephoto lenses of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, and 'Cosmos' by Choi Jung-hwa, a master of contemporary Korean art, and take photos with the ultra-high-definition camera of the Galaxy S23 series.


Moreover, the 'Galaxy Zoom-In Challenge' invites visitors to find hidden 'Ant-Man' figures throughout the Galaxy Studio using the Space Zoom feature of the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Early participants will receive movie tickets for or original merchandise as gifts.


Kim Hyun-jung, Executive Director of Samsung Electronics Korea Marketing Team, said, "The Galaxy Studio was designed to allow the MZ generation to enjoy the differentiated innovative features of the Galaxy S23 series in preferred local areas as if on a local tour.
