[Click eStock] "MTI Strengthens Competitiveness with MS's Launch of 'Azure OpenAI Service'"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] ResearchAlum analyzed on the 14th that M2I is a smart factory artificial intelligence (AI) company collaborating with big tech cloud companies and is expected to continue its performance growth. The target stock price was set at 14,000 KRW.

Researcher Seunghwan Lee of ResearchAlum introduced, "It is a company that provides essential solutions for building smart factories, including smart HMI (Human Machine Interface), smart SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition), and edge computing based on these."

He continued, "Cloud services applying Internet of Things (IoT) technology are becoming widespread, and as an alternative to overcome server limitations, ‘edge computing,’ which processes some data distributedly on user terminals, is emerging as essential."

Additionally, "M2I has connectivity functions with Amazon's AWS, Microsoft's Azure, Google's Google Cloud, etc.," and "performs the role of edge computing within these clouds," he added.

Researcher Lee said, "Edge computing is a technology that processes data at the edge, where data is generated such as sensors and user terminals, unlike traditional cloud services that process all data on a central server." He also stated, "The edge computing market has been growing about 45% annually since 2021 and is expected to reach 4.85 billion USD by 2026," adding, "The detailed fields where edge computing is used mainly include AI learning models, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), mobility autonomous driving, and smart factories."

Furthermore, "Last month, Microsoft announced plans to launch the ‘Azure OpenAI Service’ in collaboration with OpenAI," emphasizing, "M2I's business competitiveness will be further strengthened."

Researcher Lee predicted, "As the commercialization timing of data-based technologies such as AI becomes visible, the necessity of smart factories that connect devices within factories and secure data will be further highlighted," and "With increasing demand for smart factory transformation, M2I will continue its performance growth."
