Hapcheon-gun Begins Practical Agricultural Training with Experts Invited by Field

Training on Cultivation Techniques for Over 200 Rice Farming Households

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Agricultural Technology Center of Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 14th that it will conduct practical agricultural education for over 1,300 farmers by inviting experts in various fields to ensure high-quality production of major crops. The education will be held 17 times at 17 locations from the 13th to the 27th.


Starting with a lecture on rice cultivation techniques for about 200 rice farming households at the Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, education on cultivation techniques for major crops such as garlic, chili peppers, and onions will be promoted.


The rice lecture will be conducted by Seong Deok-gyeong, a rice breeding expert at the Gyeongnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services, while garlic lectures will be given by Dr. Kwon Young-seok from the Rural Development Administration, chili pepper lectures by Dr. Kim Myung-jun, and onion lectures by Dr. Ha In-jong, all of whom are top domestic experts invited to give the lectures.

In addition to cultivation technique education, each course will promote ▲the Public Interest Direct Payment System ▲safe use of pesticides (PLS) ▲fine dust reduction ▲agricultural carbon neutrality education, focusing on solving current issues in the agricultural sector.


Farmers wishing to attend the education can participate by inquiring with the industrial guidance officer of their eup or myeon, and they may also attend lectures in nearby eup or myeon educational subjects.


A representative of the county Agricultural Technology Center said, “We hope that the practical agricultural education for the new year will help farmers actively respond to the changing agricultural environment,” and added, “We expect this education to contribute to the stable production of high-quality agricultural products.”
