Jin Byeong-yeong, the governor of Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, is conducting a residents' briefing session on the construction project of Nui Center.
The Nui Center is planned to be built as a complex community center that provides integrated services in various fields such as administration, education, culture, and job support. This briefing session was organized to directly listen to and communicate with residents from diverse social groups.
Governor Jin said, "The Nui Center will be a space that any resident can conveniently use and will serve as a catalyst for communication within the local community," adding, "We will carefully collect the opinions shared today and establish an overall usage plan for the county office site."
During the briefing session, various opinions were presented, including securing spaces for cultural artists, creating childcare spaces where children and parents can be together, generating linked job opportunities, and devising efficient operational plans for the Nui Center construction.
The county previously held discussion meetings to gather opinions from various groups such as youth, parents, education and job-related personnel, and has been sharing diverse opinions for the Nui Center construction through online surveys on the official website and written surveys to encourage resident participation.
Based on the opinions presented at the residents' briefing session and the results of the resident survey conducted until the 16th, Hamyang Nui Center plans to establish the basic plan by March, proceed with design competitions and detailed designs by the end of this year, and begin construction in January next year.
