[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] On the 13th, BNK Financial Group held the Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee (ECC) at its major subsidiaries, Busan Bank, Gyeongnam Bank, and BNK Capital, selecting the first round of CEO candidates.
These subsidiaries accepted applications from CEO candidates until the 10th, and on this day, the ECC was held to conduct document screening evaluations for the applicants. Each company selected three candidates for the first round of CEO candidates.
However, Busan Bank President An Gam-chan and BNK Capital CEO Lee Doo-ho announced their intention to voluntarily retire ahead of the ECC held today, aiming to open the way for capable juniors to grow for the company's change and future, and thus were not included in the first round of candidates for Busan Bank and BNK Capital.
These three subsidiaries plan to conduct presentation (PT) evaluations for the first round of CEO candidates and will compress the list to the second round of candidates by reflecting external reputation checks together.
A BNK Financial Group official said, “The ECC at each company focused on selecting the right person who can strengthen the company's internal and external competitiveness and lead regional finance, selecting the first round of candidates accordingly. We will continue to support the CEO succession process to proceed as fairly as possible according to the CEO succession plan.”
