Gosundae 6 District Police Substation, Joint Working-Level Meeting with Related Agencies
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] On the 13th, the 6th District Highway Patrol Unit of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency held a joint practical meeting with related organizations to prevent highway traffic fatalities in 2023.
According to the Provincial Police Agency, the meeting held in the Highway Patrol Unit conference room was attended by representatives from the 6th District Unit, Korea Expressway Corporation, and Korea Transportation Safety Authority.

The attendees analyzed the causes of traffic fatalities that occurred in the previous year and in 2023, and discussed countermeasures.
They also shared key tasks promoted by each organization and exchanged opinions on future communication and cooperation plans.
The Highway Patrol Unit announced that until the 28th, they will conduct intensive crackdowns on major legal violations by cargo trucks, such as designated lane violations and failure to wear seat belts, and will continuously carry out crackdowns on overloaded and illegally modified cargo trucks in cooperation with the Expressway Corporation and the Transportation Safety Authority.
Chief Jin Munho said, “To prevent highway traffic accidents, it is important for related organizations to become one team and continuously seek cooperation measures,” adding, “We will do our best in inter-agency collaboration to prevent traffic fatalities in the future.”
